Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is slowly creeping up to 16% on all Android devices, despite being available since November of last year when it was launched running on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
These figures come from Android Developers. This figure is based on the amount of visits devices make on Google Play. The Android version running on these devices have been tallied for two weeks up until the 1st of August.
Among the versions of Android, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) is still dominant. It runs on almost 61% of all Android devices. Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) runs on 0.8% of Android devices. The first devices to receive the Jelly Bean update are the Google Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and Motorola Xoom. It was first featured on the Google Nexus 7.
